    convertible in the mutterland

The conversion looks well done, but to me the form is not as appealing as the original coupe, or even an E30 or E36 cab (for me the summit of topless bmw elegance). Something ungainly, especially with the with white top up, and the 17" basketweaves, it seems short and squat...

    2025 Neue Klasse electric platform

Much better design than the beaver tooth grill. Actually ANY design would be better, even the I 3, in my humble opinion. As for E cars and H cars, I bet that by 2035 you will need to verify gas station locations on trips the way you have to plot out charging stations today. In 1894 the...

Ireland Engineering - too busy to answer the phone?

They are dead to the world in my experience. They don't answer the phone or reply to email, so the hell with them.

New Body Shop Opening in Vermont

Vermont has a serious annual inspection requirement, and it actually has inspectors use cameras to refer questionable repairs to the DMV in real time. Good luck !

    Roundel repaint

So glad to see you did this, because it validates my own job on the rear roundel using a blend of the two Testor's blues, and a brush. I also did the hubcaps, on which the paint was completely gone. The "artisan" representation of a roundel may not be appreciated at Amelia Island or Monterey...

Automatic or Stick shift pros and cons

I'm going to do the swap. Traffic is not an issue for me, I don't drive to work, and when I'm in an accordion I just row away and it's pretty unconscious really. If I did drive to work in LA or SF everyday, I'm sure my feelings would be closer to those of bluecoupe30. However I do drive in...

Talbot reproductions : has anyone purchased these ?

I found these English reproductions at Pegasus racing. https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productdetails.asp?RecID=10032 Has anyone seen or installed a set ? They do not appear to have as elegant a line as the Talbot Berlin, but the build looks solid, and the price is great for a car with a...

I'm going to be driving my E34 Touring from Montreal to Asheville NC for the Asheville vintage meet in May 16-19. There are going to be a lot of E9's according to the list of current attendees -- I hope it doesn't rain ! I'd appreciate meeting anyone who could show me their headlight wiring...

    Nightmare E3 Seller

Dear Haseeb, I sorry that you got into a pissing match. Some people are simply crazy, and it is difficult for someone without clinical experience to know how to manage a relationship with a crazy person. I would disagree with Markos on one thing : it is not always a matter of value. When I...

Smell of gas, oil and exaust

"Cut it off at the source" is excellent advice. This spring the smell of gas was driving me nuts camping with my gf at the Grand Canyon. There were at least two sources : 1) I had purchased a new filler cap from W&N but it fit so tightly that I was not closing it all the way. Making the effort...
