I assume there's an O-ring in there? Its not shown on Diagram 11/28? And how difficult is this fix? Thanks.

is the dip stick tube the one that holds the oil level bar ?
where do you think is the o-ring ?
can you show the 11/28 diagram ?
the tube i mention is stuck into the engine block, there is no way to place an oring there, just pressure
maybe you are asking about another tuebe ?

The tube is a press fit into the block, no o-ring but you can use a sealant. The dip stick itself has a rubber bellows that is part of the stick that fits into the tube, not a separate part number though.

OK, so no O-ring; thanks for confirming, Chris. The weeping is coming from the base of the tube, not where the dip stick bellows meets the tube. Is it worth ordering a new tube? I'm concerned about removing the original without breaking it! What type of sealant would you recommend?
