Go for it Mark. I had a 2800 in exact same color that I bought as a 'leftover' when the Bavarias came out in 1971. It had leather interior and the 2.8 engine - only differences I'm sure. Drove it for 6 years, and traded for a 3.0S. Great piece of history. Only issue might be that Phx AZ can be tough on paint and interiors (lived there for 4 years).

Yeah I’d love to. Agreed on the harshness of the climate. I also did my time there. I’ve never had so many plastic interior bits explode and crack! That was a mere 25yo car also.

Good memory!
It was FS and I looked it over many years ago in...mountain view? Palo Alto? Long before I moved to CO so at least 15 years ago. Maybe longer. During the advent of "SSR"...and my walk away period. Shame the rot under the rear window has been ignored since then. Doubt its had anything actually done to it since one of our own last looked it over and reported on it in that earlier thread (when it was still in CA)
