Just out of curiosity, what is the average output of these engines?

yes , i'm curious too…. what they can do with a 2002 engine. In the '80s i did rallys with a 2002 , the engine was build by a know race shop at the time . If i remember right i had 160 HP.... after 4 years ( and 30 ? rallys) the car was "beaten" but the engine still running strong !
There were more powerfull 2002's among the drivers …. with more budget i guess :)

Mine is putting out right at about 215-220 HP. I run 45 Webers and a torque cam. This engine was built by Colin Ivey of Ivey Engines here in Oregon.

that is indeed very impressive.... that's what we get out of a M30 engine ! with webers,cam,headers etc....

We just re-installed the engine in my Group A M3 and it dynoed at 253 HP at the rear wheels. It's a 2.5 liter full on engine built by Terry Tinney.
