Corinthian, is a lot like Nappa leather...Like Alcantara is to micro-fibre/faux-suede. Steve nailed it. Friend of mine in design school c.1978, had a new Cordoba with said leather (his folks had $, I had a 67 Beetle with genuine vinyl).
Connolly is always a best quality, top grain leather, which this doesn't look like. I do upholstery design for two high-end US companies, and have looked at many hundreds of hides. From cheap splits, to northern European anyline-dyed perfection...This looks like it could be a top grain, but not sure about the best quality aspect. Looks thin and cheesy to me, with hardly any "body" to the cover. And lubricated, as mentioned. I am not an expert, however, just play one on the internet.
