Talked to my State Farm agent about raising my agreed value on my coupe from $40 to $55k hoping to get close to $50.

Stopped in today and without a whimper SF agreed on $55. Will sleep better tonight.

Mine’s at $75k with Hagerty. Again, no questions asked the last couple of times I asked to increase the amount.

I am increasing mine to $75k. Here is the email I sent to my insurance broker.

Here are some additional comps: https://bringatrailer.com/bmw/e9/

Note that the vehicle will not be completed by Tuesday as I hoped but will almost be. I am hoping it will be "done" by end of next week.

I have not kept all receipts, etc. from the work done, but have created this list showing what was done. If needed, I can get a receipt from the paint/body shop that is doing the restoration. Their portion is about $23k, and I bought about $15k+ in parts for it as well.

Mine is insured for $45K USD - $60K Australian - 1972 CS 5 speed manual with minimal rust but in need of a re-spray.
Be interested to see what other Aus based members think?

here still in the 40k€ range
anual fee around 380€

Have you tried to talk to someone above the customer service at your insurance company?
When I called customer service to insure my car I instantly ran into difficulties since they don’t have the slightest clue about classic cars.

After a long discussion, customer support passed me over to their manager, who in turn directed me to someone who handles classic car insurances.

After that it was smooth sailing and I got mine insured for 70k€, the amount I wanted, after sending detailed photos and links to recent auctions + current for sale ads.

Mine is insured with a classic car specialist (Shannons) no issues as to value at all.
I'd assume there was something similar in other countries?

I’m sure many countries have something like that, but here we don’t have a big market for (expensive) classic cars, so we have to deal with regular insurance companys.

Mine is insured for €60K and I'm allowed to drive it 2000km per year. Difficult to tell exactly how much I pay because it's insured together with other cars but probably around €450

Think that way it is in line with the latest "Motor Klassik" price trend
