Jim Van Orsdol's Verona 1973 Bavaria was absolutely stunning.

Will Gran, original owner, made it this year with zero problems.

Hi Marcos,

"What the heck is that" is a common query...;)

I'd be happy to answer any questions or provide a brief description of components.

Thanks,
Jim

Awesome!

1. Engine management system?
2. Are you running wasted spark or sequential ignition?
3. What ITB’s are those and what manifold?
4. Did you make the airbox?
5. What is that aluminum box where your booster typically is?

Edit: A couple of other things:
6. What ignition coil(s) are you using?
7. Anything special about your rear battery setup?

1. Engine management system?
Electromotive. It initially ran on a MAP sensor, but there were issues related to its ability to adjust to altitude so it's now running on a mass air sensor. Uwe Schuettler, formerly of E'motive, helped with program modifications.
2. Are you running wasted spark or sequential ignition?
Wasted spark
3. What ITB’s are those and what manifold?
TWM ITBs (now Borla). The manifold is from Korman for DCOEs. I was planning on Webers and had this on the shelf.
4. Did you make the airbox?
Made by a highly skilled fabricator at my friend, Scott's, tuning shop from cardboard templates. It's a work of art.
5. What is that aluminum box where your booster typically is?
The brake fluid reservoir for an electric accumulator which replaced the booster. Made by www.abspowerbrake.com, it's a hot rod item. I'm extremely pleased with its performance.

Edit: A couple of other things:
6. What ignition coil(s) are you using?
Electromotive
7. Anything special about your rear battery setup?
It's an e36 loom including the firewall terminal. Otherwise pretty straightforward.

I'm working on a manifold for s54 itbs. 3d printing them.
I'm going to use a PVA filament so that I can make a plaster mold and then dissolve the plastic. then cast them in aluminum.

The 3D printing technology has advanced by leaps and bounds the last few years. I was going to trash a coffee grinder a couple of months ago because the impeller which spits out the ground beans had worn out. I Googled the problem and found a guy who designed a new and improved version, had it made with 3D and offered them for 13 bucks. Pretty nifty fix for not a lot of $$'s.

Good luck with your ambitious project.

Cheers,
Jim
