April 2017 - Kick off of a complete restoration of a 1974 3.0 CSi in Right Hand Drive. Car is Red, though it now appears that it was originally Ceylon. Last restoration (which is recorded with photographs) took place in the UK in 1988.

gotta love the old pirelli p6 sitting on that alpina wheel ... and it already has the perfect steering wheel (petri) to build the coupe around.

Can't get those Pirelli''s any more it seems. I intend to order a set of Blockleys for it in the coming weeks. Is that the perfect wheel? I was thinking of a wooden wheel for it, was just trying to convince myself that I need one!! You think I don't?

if you are going to keep the 14" alpinas ... i totally agree with Steve - pirelli cn36
mmmm, spoke with Longstone today. He's offering me 5% discount on Pirellis. Definitely more expensive than Blockleys.. No decision needed for another couple of weeks...

What is this coating Ian?
I don't know what it's called but I can find out if you like. It is an active rust treatment that will be sanded off prior to primer application. So it is not rust proofing, it's an active agent...

Thanks Ian, my car is in raw metal at the moment but it will stay that way for sometime since we have a lot of bodywork to be done. So if you could get it's name , I could check it out. Another sanding before primer is one extra job but this stuff probably cleans of easily.
