Not for me, @Keshav said this is a very special transmission so I thought I'd let everyone know it exists - if it's the right one. Eventually I'd like a getrag 5-speed with overdrive.

I’m no expert by any means but this is a 4 spd box.

it looks like "Obersetz" says e9 in the second box. Google says that means "upper set".

Obersetz is actually Ubersetz, which is the drive ratio.
"1.Gg" is Erste Gang, means 1st gear and so on.
"R.Gg", is , you guessed already, reverse.

Each text field below the #gear gives the reduction value, which are posted also above, but in black punched letters (strange, why not screenprinted as the rest?)
If you compare them, the dents actually read 2.3-1.8-1.36-1.14, the last one is not 1 but 3.64.

Apart from it's price and likely rarity, does it offer any advantage over a cheap 4 speed getrag of still cheap in comparison 5 speed?
Used in competition perhaps?

This still may be a 5 speed. If it is then it is the only 5 speed that came stock in an e9 - Alpina. Plus it is a racing transmission, it maybe be heavier duty. @Keshav may have some comments.

It is advertised as a five speed and looks like a five speed. The guy rebuilds these so I’m not sure how he would get that wrong. The S5-18/3 is a five speed gearbox. The four speed is a different model code but I forget what that is.

Originals are rare, but this likely isn’t original. It is built using a four speed BMW ZF front case and bell housing matched to 5 speed core. One could build thousands of these, but they still cost thousands. The plaque isn’t printed because the ratios were set by the builder. All the other parts are still available new by ZF.
