On the side of the block is what I call a bell crank.
It is where the rod come from the gas pedal lever comes to the block and then is turned up to the carbs.
There is a spring there and the plate mounts on a shaft.
There are two bushings on that shaft.

I can't even find this item in the parts diagrams.
I did find the horz rod that goes between the carbs on the manifold.
Anybody???
