"Intermittent" wipers - pun intended

Hey all, Sharkfest was uneventful (mechanical mishap-speaking) this year for my coupe, which is awesome, but I did experience a Poltergeist-type situation with my wipers. During one mild afternoon of rain, the wipers would go on after I activated them and then switch off a few minutes later. I could not get them to work again and simply used the manual wash mode to wipe the windshield every few minutes during the light rain we had there...after a few more minutes the wipers would come on again, mysteriously, and work for a few more minutes before shutting off.

Could this be my wiper relay or something else?

Very weird but I'm happy I didn't experience a wiper arm that detached itself like Tom Baruch did several years ago when we were heading home from The Vintage.

Sounds like how it goes for old guys…

Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t…

Should we try a replacement relay?

I can send you a spare.
