did this at the weekend. Before and after in the wrong order, but you get the jist...

am not so happy that I have had to use staples on the underside, but belt and braces.....

Just need a car to put it in now

hiya, if you look at the middle two pictures, they show the underside and there is a metal 'band' which holds the boot in place and is screwed and/or nailed into the wood.

it may be easier to take the centre consul off to change the leather boot

metal band held on by seveal small upholstery tacks. If you're careful pulling them out they can be reused. the boot is stapled on.
