Engine surging after tune up

Probably coincidence but last week, engine running a bit rough when it warms up.

So...decided to do a tune up (points, cap, plugs, fuel filter ). Now it's surging like crazy ; hot or cold.

Spark plugs kinda black.

Too rich I assume? How to adjust?

I think so, but didn't really let it warm up that much due to the bad surging.

plugs are black, is one or both carbs' float flooding? you can see into the float chamber with a flashlight. all vacuum connections back on and tight?

never saw this behaviour,
my opinion is that in order to help you should detail your work in that engine
you must have done something odd
what
how
how much
those are relevant questions
every detail counts

i do not think choke plates are open in the video, he opens the butterflies manually and they come back to close position
BTW i never heard surging word what does that mean ? is that defining the erratic iddle ?

what about the additional electric valves ?
i do not have them in my setup, are they connected and working well ?

yes, I'd describe it as erratic idle that gradually builds up then falls back down

I'll have to check. Didn't know you can see the float chamber from looking down into it.

I doubt new points, plugs, filter, dist cap would cause this. i think it was coincidence and probably something screwed up w/the carbs like a stuck float or something.
