I thought the S38 only used a single mass flywheel?

As far as flywheels go, lighter means the engine will be more responsive, since it won't have to accelerate a huge dead weight. Most people seem to like the stock CS flywheel weight of ~15 lbs. There are lightweight options down to 9 lbs.

No - just the B36 has single mass, the B38 already has dual mass.

Go for a stock S38B36 or a lightened early M30 single mass flywheel. Everthing else is too expensive and maybe "too light" in everyday use.

Best,
Daniel
