Hi,
I was going through boxes of pictures from my garage and found a number of pictures I took at coupefest in '91 and at the Monterey Historic Races in '96 when BMW was the featured marque. I posted a few in an album, does anyone recognize their cars or themselves?

Great photos Kurt. Yep that's Mike G for sure. I was told there were 100 coupes there in `96, wonder if it could ever happen again.

Laguna Seca 1996

Coupe count was an actual 107--and as suggested--probably never again.

Several--about 12 of us--were selected as examplars at the BMW Concours--then held at Quail--and were honored to drive the track for a couple of laps--great experience!! We were traveling alongside one of the great pre-WW ll 328's--great stuff.

It was a memorable weekend with my 2 Sons and then 8 year old Grandson--what a great crew for prepping the BLUMAX at the Concours--and for all of us together enjoying circling Laguna Seca in the BLUMAX and all the other great weekend happenings.

"Nice stance with Alpinas, Does anyone recognize this car?"

I'm guessing the Polaris coupe pictured is now known as 'Jabberjaw'.

Except Jabberjaw did not exist in 1991, it was finished last year and then sold to a new owner who I believe is on this forum.

Kinda wild seeing old pics of Laguna.
Boy, has it ...changed/evolved... has a lot more 'structures' now.

thx for sharing!

Good point, in one picture looking back to the infield it's notably absent of the major sponsor tents and displays.
