Some friends and I decided to make our own Saturday morning get-together and this morning was the first. About a dozen cars made it out, including two insanely clean M6s (one was a euro special ordered in Henna), a GTV, a 2CV, a 356 and several 911s. But, I was really happy to see the 1800 rolling into the parking lot - which actually turned out to be an Alpina-built 2000TI. Unfortunately the motor was taken out in the 60s to go racing (the build sheet listed it as 175hp!) but it was great to see it regardless. The owner found it about 40 years ago and also has owned - since new - an extremely low-mile E9 that I hope to see soon. I'll update this if/when that happens.
