I have a running 3.0 engine in a 1972 Bavaria. This is a one owner car that I picked up last year, the engine is original and has an original 1972 dated cyl head. The problem is the engine smokes, the car sat for 5 or 6 years and I bet it has a broken ring.
The car runs and drives and I have been using it a bit, however if someone needs a good original 1972 core engine, I would pull it $600 plus shipping from NC 27305. Also I would consider selling the complete car for $1500, you can come test drive it, trans and brakes work fine, car also has fresh webers and a new distributor.
