Few more pics : Paintjob done!

Only got two teaser pics so far :( More to follow.

Paint (Baikal) looks great, seems to have very nice depth. A job very well done by Jan and his crew.

Thanks guys :)

@rsporsche - I have not quite understood black on the E9. I have not seen one but seen pictures. Only time I thought it looked good as at dusk when you could still see the lines properly. In sunlight or at night? Not for me.

Johan,

Black was not my first or second choice ... not would it have been my 3rd or 4th choice ... but you buy the best coupe you can find and afford. this one happened to be black. it is a deep glossy black. the chrome really pops off of it.

my favorites are atlantik blue and baikal blue - for different reasons. baikal because it shows the lines, atlantik because it shows the chrome and shows the lines pretty good. after that, it would be white, inka, taiga

That looks really nice Johan!

Baikal is one of my top 3 colours for an E9 together with colorado and tundra :)
Keep the pictures coming!

Your car is an inspiration to get my Baikal coupe repainted, it has needed that for years.

Of the coupes I've seen in person, the colors I've liked most were Fjiord, followed by Atlantik and Polaris. Interior color has to do with this too...

Will keep pictures coming, if and when I get them :)

@rsporsche - I was agonizing a lot over color choice for the reasons you bring up. Too light and you lose the chrome, too dark and you lose the lines. And also considering some colors are quite different in different light. And picking a color you do not tire of. Aaand picking a color that feels welcoming when you go to the car. Man it was hard to choose, happy with the choice though.

@Honolulu - my interior will be a light cognac leather. Should work very well.

Great color. Please post more pics.

My car was originally agave, sprayed black by a PO in the eighties but Baikal is the front runner. Going bare metal next month.

All the blues are great. I saw a Riveria Tii the other day. That color is stunning. I'm a fan of Inka and Colorado also.

A bit overcast, but the coupe in the foreground is Riviera Blue.

i think its going to look a whole lot different in sun light. it looks a little gray in the booth, but you see glimpses of the blue tones where the light is hitting it in the right places. looks like its going to be pretty.
