    e9 with M5 mods - Australian

You can definitely keep/put AC in an S38 swap, FYI. If I was in Australia, I definitely would have done so.

    E9/m5 love child: Final renders

I guess I should go away more often if I'm gone for a couple of months and something this bad$%s pops up! Of course it's obvious that I would be a fan. Second the comment on the rear view. The four pipes look great.

Modern radio w/ BT but classic look

I recently sold a 49 Hudson which came with a non-op original (tube) radio when I bought it. There is a guy that runs a shop in SLO out here in CA who removed all the internals but retained all the original externals, but was able to change it over to modern radio operation (including...

    72 Bav in Sacto

Barry - how'd it look IRL? Thanks for the IG tip. Just got an email back - told me to call the number in the ad. Maybe I am just getting too old but I don't see one. Anyone else see one? I guess the post ID is the right number of digits, I could try that.

    72 Bav in Sacto

I sent him an email yesterday - no response. If the car is relatively dry, the suspension is easy to correct, and the interior is nice I would be interested at the price.

    72 Bav in Sacto

Eh, I don't mind it if the interior is nice and rust is a minor to no problem. I don't like the wheels but those are easy to fix, and if ride height is an issue resetting a bit higher wouldn't be that bad.

    Recommendation needed: Interior restoration NorCal

Val's Auto Upholstery in SF did a lot of work on my coupe (including the trick headliner) and has done some minor work on other cars as well. I've recommended them before and never heard of a bad experience. http://www.valsupholstery.com

Need an E9 for photo shoot next week Bay Area

I'd be very tempted since the drive up to Sea Ranch from SF is gorgeous. I'd call it more like 3 hours however. I'm not sure Inka orange is the right color, it's pretty specific. :) https://www.flickr.com/photos/25295657@N00/7037391357/in/set-72157628826447815 I almost spent a week in...

    New Member - Bay Area

Welcome! There are usually a couple of coupes and Bavs at the bay area BMW meetings or the local cars & coffee. Mine just came out of the shop with a working franken-airconditioner (Don: I owe you a call, money, and probably a beer - been traveling but will get on all of these) so I will be at...

    1973 CS Polaris, Monterey, $22k

Love the color combo, and love the honest ad even more. I think the point of a car community is to obsess over details which can certainly be described as picking nits, but I would never let that get in the way (at least my way) of giving praise where it's due, and it's certainly due here...

    CSi

Well, I guess values really are going up. My car, which started out much less rusty than this, but more rusty than I would advise starting with to anyone else (as well as for example having good wood, and uncracked dash, etc.), went for quite a bit less than half of the current bid price 4-5...

A/C Temp Probe and Rheostat/Temp Controller

Chris - we have a high rez photo of my panel pre powder coating but the lettering was marginal. Could you email me a high rez photo of yours? That might be a better starting point. Thanks, John

A/C Temp Probe and Rheostat/Temp Controller

I do have the BMW panel, although I don't have a radio below it. (I have a custom blanking panel in place of the radio panel with engine management control that takes up less room behind the panel than a radio would and in any event that is not creating the fitment problem.) The problem that...

A/C Temp Probe and Rheostat/Temp Controller

deQ - the BMW one is the wrong size! I've gotten three of them. Apparently 02 Salvage here in the bay area has the right size.

A/C Temp Probe and Rheostat/Temp Controller

Does anyone have one of these in good working condition that they would part with? NB: Not the fan switch (which I have and works fine). Thanks in advance, John

    Legends of the Autobahn 2015

Chris- I plan to attend this year and would be happy to volunteer as a judge. (I can certainly tell whether a car is clean or not!) Where would I go to do so, and find out what it would entail? -John

I've seen this car up close and know someone that worked on it, if anyone is interested in more details.

1973 BMW 3.0CS on the way to Russia

I go on vacation for 2 whole weeks and miss all these gorgeous pics! Looks like you had a ton of fun. I'd love to drive through Europe in my car. I wonder how hard that would be to arrange...
