    The most mysteriously lost tool?

Oh, I'm counting the lost ones in my total. They always come back.

Not a bad idea. I only have six.

    Another Fjord on BaT

Seller continues with bland plattitudes, with support from Corvette guy, while ignoring specific comments from some of the most knowledgeable people on the planet. It will be interesting to see how that works out.

    Interesting seller's response on BAT

Hey Dan - How about a Euro e36 wagon with the M sport package, already imported into the US: https://www.carcaveusa.com/inventory/bmw/328i/v08623r/ Car Cave is just a few miles from here. Let me know if you want more info - I like dropping in there from time to time. Last year he had three...

Opinions on Kmac adjustable strut mounts

Last time the topic came up, @adawil2002 was recommending these.

    Rear seat horsehair.

Eric - one of the keys to this is hand strength. Even with the right tools and knowing the tricks, stretching new leather requires very strong hands.

Andrew Wilson is running these. I believe he was not necessarily seeking additonal negative camber (beyond the 0.5 degrees from the Carl Nelson camber plates), but instead got into them because of a variation in his car's camber side to side that Mario Langston at VSR was otherwise unable to...

    Camber/Caster Plates

There is a small benefit from additional negative camber in the rear, but your tires will wear much more quickly. And as I noted, the setup I used was unreliable. I wouldn't recommend changing this. Spend the money on tires.

WTB one thrustrod, 4 of its original m8 bolts and original m8 bolts that hold the rear bumper and underriders

Are you planning to use 8.8s in places where BMW specified 12.9s?

    Klunk Klunk

I was chatting with Mario Langston (of Vintage Sports and Restoration) a couple of years ago about the effect of New England roads on modern BMWs. He had found stress fractures in structural areas of several customer cars, and found similar stress fractures in his daily driver (he was driving...

Belmetric has black oxide, brand not stated, but I've bought a bunch of stuff from them and their quality has always been great: https://belmetric.com/m8-coarse-din-933-hex-bolts-12-9/?sku=BHH8X20BLK

That was a great trip (other than being labelled as snobs by the Vintage admins). We need to get something together.

Nice Vice. Earlier this week, I picked up that set of CN36s my TVR buddy offered to you. They have lots of tread left, but as you know are getting old. They will be going on the 635csi project car. He replaced them with new ones from Longstone, so the batch he tapped into must have sold...

    E9 Csi ECU

Don's a busy guy and his posts are sometimes cryptic. But if you study them, you can usually figure out what he is saying. If you look at the second picture Don posted, there is a nipple without a connetion under the expansion tank cap. Thus, the second item Don suggests is a small hose that...

    World Upholstery - Rubber Parts

Hi all - I happened to be looking at World Upholstery's web site and noticed that they list a bunch of rubber parts for our cars. I don't see them listed in our preferred vendors for this, so I was wondering if anyone has tried them and had a good experience so that maybe we can add them to...

A set of wheels on BaT... With an E9 history.... (In BC, Canada)

There is also a BF Goodrich tire option, and I'm told that the tread design is actually an older Michelin design. The only downside is that they have white lettering on the sidewalls, so you have to mount them with the white lettering on the inside. I think Stan Chamallas is running these on...

A set of wheels on BaT... With an E9 history.... (In BC, Canada)

Hi Jim - yes 205/60s. I have Toyo Versado Noirs on the car now, but they are no longer available. Not sure what I'm going to replace them with. I'm looking at the Michelin Primacy 3 Vintage, which would be a solid (but boring) option at roughly $150 each. Pirelli Cinturato 36s are also...
