Yes, is the front window motor for an e9.
My 72 3.0 cs has the "Sardine Can" motors. They need to be replaced. Were there two different motors used through the years?
Yes, the motor shown above was used in the late '73 models up through '74 in the US, and I assume through '75 in the rest of the world. A later model motor from the e28 rear door, or an early Porsche 928 will fit - as faster speed replacements for the one shown above. They are plug and play (and run about 2X as fast).
